March Madness

Congratulations to the Underdogs! I love watching schools like Vermont and Bucknell destroy my brackett - it reassures me that there is still passion and love for a game which is becoming such a big business. Those players on Kansas and Syracuse will learn more from losing in the first round than winning...and the memories established for the players, coaches and fans of the unexpected schools are priceless. Just like the Vermont coach said in the post-game press conference, "There is no drug, that can compare to the feeling you get from competition" - March Madness is such a loved time of year because men, women and children are able to be a part of something larger than themselves - that is the beauty of collegiate athletics...there is a feeling of community that bridges generations, races, gender and time.
